Welcome to Katie’s Books

Katie’s Books is the home of Katie’s Family Tales — fun, heartwarming stories inspired by real family life.

I’m Katie, a mum and author, and the person behind these little stories. My books are inspired by my wonderful boys, Jenson and Leo, their dad Aaron, and our much-loved cats Sid and Fatima.

Leo is autistic and communicates in his own unique way. Many of our stories are inspired by the special little moments, connections and adventures we share together as a family. Through our stories, I hope to celebrate the different ways children experience and connect with the world around them.

What started as little family moments has grown into something I’m so excited to share with other families.

Our first story, Sid the Cat, 1-2-3 Go Fetch!, is about our very special cat Sid, who just happens to think he’s a dog.

Each tale is made with love, in the hope of bringing families together, encouraging smiles, and creating those little moments where you can read, laugh and enjoy a story together.
